arts for mental health resource creation

live illustrations for capacity building

watching an artist create something in real-time can evoke emotions and create a deeper connection to the experiences shared at the event.

in our capacity-building sessions with non-specialist health workers, artist and trainer, madhuwanti ghosh, creates illustrations that summarize key concepts and depict visual stories and recaps of the event. we also interact with the audience, integrating their ideas and feedback into the artwork, which makes the experience more engaging and personalized. this process has also helped us create context specific, vernacular mental health resources. going forward, these illustrations serve as visual ready reckoners for the group, providing a reference for key concepts and facilitating easier recall of the material discussed.

if you'd like to discuss how you can add live illustrations to your capacity/ resource building programs, please get in touch with us
